Vanilla Butter Cake
Ingredients
- 125 g Maida/ All purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp Baking powder
- 1/4 tsp Baking soda
- 110 g Salted Butter
- 115 g Granulated Sugar
- 2 count Egg
- 1/4 cup Luke warm Milk
- 1 tbsp Thick curd
- 1 tsp Vanilla essence
Directions
Grease and dust a 6” aluminium pan

Pre heat the oven at 150 degrees C for 15 minutes.
Weigh 125 gms of flour.

Add 1/2 tsp of baking powder.
Also add 1/4 tsp of baking soda.
Sift these dry ingredients thrice.
This is done to aerate the ingredients.


Mix luke warm milk and thick curd . Keep it aside.
Take 115 gms of butter

Weigh 110 gms of granulated sugar.
Cream butter and sugar.

Add gently beaten eggs.


Add vanilla essence.
Gently fold in the flour and milk mixture in three batches.
Do not stir the batter.
Follow cut and fold method.
Add 2 tbsp of water if the batter is too thick.
The batter should be of dropping consistency.
Transfer the batter into the prepared greased and dusted aluminium tin.
Bake at 150 degrees C for 35-40 minutes or until done.
Check with a wooden toothpick to see it the cake is done.
The toothpick should come out clean. Now you know that the cake is done.
Turn off the oven. Remove the cake from the oven.
Transfer it to a wire rack.
