Spicy Chilli Egg

Ingredients

  • 2 count Boiled eggs
  • 1 tbsp Corn flour
  • Oil for frying

For the batter

  • 1/2 cup All purpose flour/ Maida
  • 1 tbsp Corn flour
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Ground black pepper
  • 4-5 tbsp Water

For the gravy

  • 1 1/2 cup Onion (diced)
  • 1 cup Capsicum ( diced)
  • 2 tbsp Garlic chopped
  • 2 tsp Finely cut ginger
  • 3 tbsp Green chilli finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp Soy sauce
  • 3 tbsp Green chilli sauce
  • 2 tbsp Tomato sauce
  • 2 tsp Ground pepper
  • 1/2 tsp Sugar
  • 2 tsp Vinegar
  • 1/4 cup Water
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tbsp Refined oil

Directions

Slice each egg into four or eight pieces. Carefully dust it with corn flour. Keep it aside.

Let us make the batter. Mix flour, corn flour, salt and pepper powder well. Add water. Make sure the batter is neither too thick nor runny.

Heat a heavy bottom frying pan. Add oil . Coat the eggs with batter. Deep fry them. Keep it aside.

In another pan, add oil. Fry sliced onion and capsicum on high heat .Add rest of the ingredients. Let the gravy thicken. Add batter fried eggs. Stir well . Turn off the heat. Serve hot.
