Savoury Granola..
Ingredients
- 2 cups Rolled Oats
- 1/4 cup Chia seed
- 1/2 cup Roasted peanuts
- 3 tbsp Honey
- 1/4 cup Olive oil/ Refined oil
- 1/4 cup Raisins
- 2 tbsp Chilli flakes
- 1 tbsp Black pepper powder
- 3 tbsp Lemon juice
- 1 tbsp Salt
- 2 tsp Cumin powder
- 1/2 cup Beetroot puree
- 2 tsp Ginger chopped
Directions
Take a medium sized beet root .Remove the skin .Cut it into medium sized pieces .Wrap it tightly along with ginger pieces in aluminium foil .Bake it for 50 minutes at 180 degrees C.
In a bowl, mix oats, chilli flakes, pepper powder, chia seeds, raisins, cumin powder and salt together.
Heat oil, honey, and lemon juice on low flame for a minute. Turn off the heat.
Grind the roasted beet root and ginger into a smooth paste without adding water. Add this to the oats mixture.
Now add the liquid and mix well.You can add more salt if required.
Pre heat the oven at 140 C with the fan mode on.
Line a rectangular tin with parchment sheet.
Bake at 140 degrees C for 20 minutes.
Remove the tin from the oven.Now add roasted peanuts. Mix it gently using using a spatula.
Place it back in the oven and bake for another 20 minutes.
Remove from the oven and allow it to cool well.
