Rosemary Garlic Beer Bread

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups All purpose flour/ Maida
  • 1 1/2 cups Bread flour
  • 1 tsp Instant dry yeast
  • 1 count Egg
  • 1 tbsp Sugar
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 cup Beer/ luke warm water
  • 1 tbsp Oil
  • 2 tbsp Garlic paste
  • 2 tsp Rosemary

Directions

In a bowl mix all the ingredients together except water/ beer.

Add water/ beer. Knead well for 10 minutes. Add oil.

Knead for another 3-4 minutes.

Shape the dough into a ball.

Place it into a well oiled bowl. Cover it with cling film.

Let it rise. The dough should double in volume.

Punch down the dough gently. Knead for another 3-4 minutes.

Shape it into a loaf. Grease and dust a loaf tin.

Place the dough into the prepared tin.

Let it rise.

Pre heat the oven at 180 degrees C.

Place the tin into the oven.

Bake for 30 minutes.

Egg wash the crust.

Bake for another 3-4 minutes until the crust is golden brown in colour.

Turn off the oven.

Remove the bread from the tin. Apply butter liberally.

Let the loaf cool well
