Rosemary Buns
Ingredients
- 2 1/2 cups All purpose flour/Maida
- 1 tsp Instant dry yeast
- 1 tbsp Sugar
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1 count Egg
- 2 tbsp Fresh cream
- 3/4 cup Warm milk
- 2 tbsp Water
- 2 tbsp Melted butter
- 1/2 tsp Rosemary
Directions
In a bowl, mix all the ingredients except milk, water and butter.
Mix well. Add slightly warm milk. Knead for 6 minutes. Add 2 tbsps of water if the dough is too stiff.
Now add the melted butter. Knead for another 3-4 minutes.
Shape the dough into a ball. Place in into a well oiled bowl. Let it double in volume.
Now punch down the dough gently. Divide the dough into 12 equal balls, each weighing around 41 gms.
Meanwhile grease and dust two muffin tins.
Sprinkle some poppy seeds on top or place any edible flower.
Let the dough double in volume.
Pre heat the oven at 180 degree C .
Place the tins into the oven. Bake for 15 minutes.
Take the tin out of the oven and egg wash the buns.
Place it back into the oven. Bake for another 3-4 minutes until the crust is golden brown in colour.
Turn off the oven. Take the tin out . Remove the buns from the tin. Apply butter liberally.


Serve with Masala Meatball Curry.
