Pizza Margherita
Ingredients
For the dough
- 1 3/4 cup Whole wheat flour
- 3/4 cup Semolina
- 1 cup Warm water
- 1 tsp Instant dry yeast
- 3/4 tsp Salt
- 1 tbsp Honey
- 1 1/2 tbsp Olive oil
Ingredients for the flavoured oil
- 2 tbsp Garlic
- 4 tbsp Olive oil
For the topping
- Tomato slices
- Sliced onion
- Mozzarella cheese
- Basil leaves
Directions
In a bowl, mix wheat flour, semolina,salt ,honey and instant dry yeast.
Add warm water.
Knead well for 4-5 mins.
Add oil .
Knead well for another 3-4 mins.
Apply oil on the dough and place it in a well oiled bowl.Cover it with cling film.
Keep it in a warm place.Let it rise.
When the dough is double in volume, gently punch down the dough.
Knead it for a minute or two.
Cover wrap it with cling film and refrigerate it for 1 hour.
Meanwhile wash and slice the tomatoes.

Heat 2 tbsp of garlic paste and 4 tbsp of oil in microwave for 1 minute. Keep it aside.
Keep the basil and onion slices ready.
Keep a 8” pizza pan ready.Take around 120 gms of dough and shape it into a ball.
Roll out the dough.
I always prefer thin crust pizza.So I rolled it thin.
Make a dam on the sides.
Prick it with fork and drizzle garlic infused olive oil.
Pre heat the oven at 180 degrees C with both top and bottom rods on.
Place it in the oven and bake for 7-8 mins.
Remove it from the oven and add the toppings.
First arrange the onion slices, then tomatoes.
Now add mozzarella cheese and basil leaves.
Drizzle garlic infused olive oil liberally.
Return it to the oven .
Bake at 180 degrees C for 6-7 mins with both top and bottom rods on.
