Pear shaped Fish Cutlets
Ingredients
- 2 cups Shredded Fish (cooked) without bones
- 1 cup Mashed potatoes
- 1/4 cup Green chillies finely chopped
- 3 tbsp Garlic finely chopped
- 1 tbsp Ginger paste
- 3/4 cup Onion finely chopped
- 2 tbsp Black pepper powder
- 1/4 cup Coriander leaves chopped
- 2 tbsp Corn flour
- 4 tbsp Refined oil
- Oil for frying
- Green Chilli stalk - few
- Salt to taste
For Coating
- 2 cup Bread crumbs
- 1/4 cup Corn flour
- 2 count Egg
Directions
Heat a heavy bottom pan on moderate heat. Add 4 tbspof oil.
Add chopped green chillies. Sauté well for 2 minutes .Add chopped onion, ginger and garlic.
Now add the shredded fish and black pepper powder. Keep stirring on low heat.
Add mashed potatoes. Add salt.
Stir well for 3-4 minutes. Add 2 tbsp corn flour.
Add chopped coriander leaves. Cook for 2-3 minutes.
Turn off the heat. Transfer the mixture to a plate. Take 2 tbsp of fish mixture and shape into a pear.
For the Coating
Mix bread crumbs and corn flour well. Keep it aside.
Beat the eggs lightly. Keep it aside.
Shape the fish mixture into small equal sized pears. Place a green chilli stalk on top. Coat the cutlets with beaten eggs. Next coat with bread crumbs lightly.
Heat oil in a pan. Deep fry the cutlets until golden brown in colour.
