Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Rice flour
  • 1 cup All purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp Corn flour
  • 1/2 tsp Baking Soda
  • 3 tbsp Granulated sugar
  • 1 count Egg
  • 2 tsp Cardamom powder
  • 1 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 3/4 cup Water
  • tsp Salt
  • 2 count Nendra pazham
  • Coconut Oil for frying

In a bowl mix all the ingredients except nendrapazham and oil.

Add more water. Stir well.The batter should be thick( coating consistency). Add 2-3 tbsp of extra water if the batter is too thick.

Cut the nendra pazham into thin long stripes.

Heat oil in a heavy bottom deep pan for frying.

Dip the sliced nedra pazham in the batter until well coated . Fry them in hot oil until golden brown in colour and crisp on both sides. Drain excess oil and serve them hot.
