Marble Cake

Ingredients

  • 125 g All purpose flour/Maida
  • 1/2 tsp Baking powder
  • 1/8 tsp Baking soda
  • 110 g Salted butter
  • 1 tbsp Orange zest
  • 115 g Granulated sugar
  • 1 count Egg
  • 2 tbsp Orange juice
  • 2 tbsp Thick curd
  • 2 tbsp Cocoa powder
  • 2 tbsp Water

Directions

Pre heat the oven at 150 degrees C. Grease and dust a 6” aluminium pan. Sift the dry ingredients thrice.

Cream butter and sugar well .

Add the gently beaten egg.

Fold in sifted flour, curd, water and orange juice.

Gently fold the batter. Divide the batter into two portions. Add cocoa powder to one portion. Add 1 tbsp of water if the batter is too thick.

Spoon in both the batter into the prepared pan. Give a gentle swirl with a toothpick.

Bake for 35-40 minutes at 150 degrees C.
