Khara Biscuit
Ingredients
- 1 3/4 cup All purpose flour/ Maida
- 1/4 cup Semolina
- 1/4 cup Oil
- 1/2 cup Water
- 1 tsp Salt
For the masala
- 2 tsp Ginger paste
- 2 tsp Garlic paste
- 1 tsp Cumin powder
- 5-6 count Curry leaves
- 1/4 cup Chopped Coriander leaves
- 2 tbsp Red chilli flakes
- 1 tbsp Oil
- 2 tsp Salt
Directions
For the masala
Heat a heavy bottom frying pan. Add 1 tbsp of oil. Add ginger paste, garlic paste, red chilli flakes and cumin powder. Fry well for 3-4 minutes on low flame. Now add the chopped coriander leaves and curry leaves. Add salt . Turn off the heat. Keep it aside.
For the dough
In a bowl, mix semolina and all purpose flour well.
Add the masala. Add water. Gently knead for a minute. Add 1/4 cup of oil. Add more water if the dough is too stiff.
Divide the dough into two parts. Cling wrap the dough and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
Line a rectangular tin with parchment sheet.
Now roll out the dough using a rolling pin. Cut into circle or square pieces. Transfer it to the prepared baking tin.
Refrigerate it again for 10-15 minutes.
Meanwhile pre heat the oven at 140 degrees with the fan mode on.
Place the baking tin into the oven and let it bake for 18-20 minutes.
Transfer it to a wire rack to cool.
