Honey Apple Cake

Ingredients

  • 140 g All purpose flour/ Maida
  • 3/4 tsp Baking powder
  • 1 tsp Nutmeg powder
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 2 count Egg
  • 1/4 cup Refined oil
  • 100 g Brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup Honey
  • 100 g Apple peeled and grated
  • 1 tbsp Lemon juice

Directions

Grease and dust a 6” aluminium tin. Pre heat the oven at 140 degrees C.

Sift the flour, salt , nutmeg powder and baking powder thrice. Keep it aside.

Beat eggs (yolk and white together) on high speed for 2 minutes. Add sugar. Continue beating. Reduce the speed to medium. Now add oil and honey. Keep beating.

Now quickly grate the apple after removing the skin. Add lemon juice.

Using a spatula, add the sifted flour and grated apple.

Do not stir the batter. Mix it very gently.

Add 1 tbsp of water if the batter is too thick..

Transfer the batter into the prepared tin.

Bake for 35-40 minutes at 140 degrees C for 35-40 minutes or until done.
