Digestive Biscuits

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Wheat flour
  • 1 cup All purpose flour
  • 1 tsp Baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp Soda powder
  • 1/3 cup Salted butter
  • 3/4 cup Granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp Vanilla essence
  • 3-4 tbsp Milk

Directions

Sift wheat flour, all purpose flour,baking powder and baking soda thrice.

Cream butter and sugar well using a hand mixer.

Now add the sifted flour, vanilla essence and milk.

Knead all the ingredients together for 2-3 minutes without applying too much pressure. Add 1 -2 tbsp of extra milk if the dough is too stiff.

Cling wrap the dough . Refrigerate the dough for 30 minutes.

Now take the dough out .

Place the dough between two sheets of cling film.

Now roll out the dough gently using a rolling pin. Using a small cookie cutter, cut it into small rounds. Prick it with a fork or a wooden skewer.

Line a rectangular tin with parchment sheet.Transfer the prepared cookie dough into the tin.

Refrigerate it for 10 minutes.

Pre heat the oven at 150 degrees C with the fan mode on.

Bake the cookies for 20 minutes at 150 degrees C.

Remove the cookies from the tin to a cooling rack.
