Citrusy Ginger Cake

Ingredients
- 125 g All purpose flour/ Maida
- 1/2 tsp Baking powder
- 1 1/2 tbsp Dry ginger powder
- 100 g Salted butter
- 100 g Granulated sugar
- 1 count Egg
- 1/4 cup Orange juice
- 7-8 count Orange slices
- 6-7 tbsp Brown sugar
- 4 tbsp Melted butter

Grease and dust a 9” aluminium pan. Line the pan with parchment sheet. Pre heat the oven at 150 degrees C.

First, evenly spread brown sugar and meltedbutter into the prepared tin. Place sliced oranges on top and on the sides.Bake for 4- 5 minutes @ 150 degrees C. Turn off the oven. Take the pan out. Keep it aside.

Sift all the dry ingredients thrice.

Cream butter and sugar. Add gently beaten egg.

Add the sifted flour and orange juice.

Mix the batter gently. Add 1-2 tbsp of water if the batter is too thick.

Transfer the batter to the prepared tin. Bake for 40-45 minutes @ 150 degrees C.
