Chocolate Vanilla Cupcakes

Ingredients

  • 125 g Maida/All purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp Baking powder
  • 1/8 tsp Baking soda
  • 110 g Salted butter
  • 115 g Granulated sugar
  • 1 count Egg
  • tbsp Apple Cidar Vinegar
  • 1/4 cup Lukewarm Milk
  • 2 tbsp Cocoa powder
  • 2 tsp Vanilla essence

Directions

Pre heat the oven at 150 degrees C. Keep the cupcake moulds ready or grease and dust a 6” aluminium tin.

Sift flour, baking powder and baking soda thrice. Keep it aside.

Cream butter and sugar well.

Add granulated sugar.

Add gently beaten egg.

Fold in the sifted ingredients.

Add lukewarm milk/water.

Add Apple Cidar Vinegar.

Gently fold in the ingredients.

Divide the batter into two portions.

To one portion, add the cocoa powder. Add 1-2 tbsp of water / milk if the batter is too thick.

Now spoon in the chocolate batter into the prepared cupcake mould or the prepared tin.

Level the batter using a spatula.

Now spoon in the vanilla batter.

Bake the cupcakes for 18 -19 mins .

If you are using 6” aluminium pan, bake for 35-40 minutes or until done.
