Chocolate strawberry upside down cake..

Ingredients

  • 8-9 count Strawberries
  • 1 1/2 tbsp Granulated sugar
  • 2 tbsp Melted butter
  • 1 cup All purpose flour/ Maida
  • 1/4 cup Cocoa powder
  • 1/2 tsp Soda powder
  • 1/2 cup Demerara sugar
  • 1/2 cup Granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup Butter
  • 1/4 cup Thick curd
  • 1 count Egg
  • 1/4 cup Lukewarm water
  • 1/8 tsp Grape essence or tonovin essence

Directions

Wash and clean the strawberries.Pat it dry with a towel. Slice it.

Grease and dust a 6" round cake tin. Line the base of the tin with parchment paper. Now spread the melted butter. Sprinkle sugar evenlyand arrange the sliced strawberries. Keep it aside.

Sift flour , cocoa and soda powder thrice.

In a bowl mix all the dry ingredients and wet ingredients together using a spatula or electric beater.

Beat well for 3 minutes.

Transfer the batter to the prepared cake tin.

Bake at 150 degree C for 40 minutes or until done.
