Chocolate Coconut Cake

Ingredients

  • 1 cup All purpose flour/Maida
  • 1/4 cup Cocoa powder
  • 1/4 tsp Baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp Baking Soda
  • 1/2 cup Salted butter
  • 3/4 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1 count Egg
  • 6 tbsp Lightly toasted coconut
  • 4 tbsp Thick coconut milk
  • 1/3 cup Lukewarm water
  • 1 tbsp Apple Cidar Vinegar
  • 1 tsp Vanilla essence

Directions

Grease and dust a 6” aluminium pan.

Sift flour, baking powder, baking soda and cocoa powder thrice.

Keep the toasted coconut and thick coconut milk ready.

Cream butter and sugar. Add vanilla essence and gently beaten egg.

Fold in sifted flour, coconut milk, lukewarm water and toasted coconut.

Now add 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar.

Transfer it to the prepared tin.

Bake at 150 degrees C for 40- 45 mins.
