Chocolate Brookies
Ingredients
- 160 g All purpose flour/Maida
- 15 g Cocoa powder
- 1 tsp Baking powder
- 1/4 tsp Salt
- 160 Dark semi sweet chocolate chips
- 3 tbsp Salted butter
- 90 g Brown sugar
- 2 count Egg
- 40 g Lindt Dark chocolate 70%
- 1 tsp Vanilla essence
- 10 count Maraschino cherries
Directions
Sift flour, baking powder,salt and cocoa thrice.
In a medium sized plastic bowl,microwave butter and semi sweet chocolate chips . Keep stirring until it is shiny. Keep it aside.
In another bowl, beat eggs , sugar and vanilla essence well for 2-3 minutes on high speed.
Gently fold in the sifted dry ingredients using a spatula.
Add melted chocolate.
Fold in very gently.
Add chopped maraschino cherries.
Break Lindt Dark chocolate into small pieces. Fold in gently.
Cover the dough with cling film and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
Pre heat the oven at 140 degrees C with top and bottom rods on.
Line a rectangular tin with parchment sheet.Take a tbsp of cookies dough.
Carefully transfer them to the prepared tin.
Shape the sides of the dough with your fingers.
Place it in the oven and bake for 18-22 minutes.
Take it out and immediately transfer it to a wire rack.
Let it cool well.
