Appam Batter - 3

Ingredients

  • 2 cups Raw rice
  • 1 cup Grated Coconut
  • 1 cup Coconut milk
  • 1 cup Beaten Rice
  • 3 tbsp Sugar
  • 2 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Instant dry yeast
  • cup Water
  • 1 tsp Baking soda

Wash and clean the rice well. Soak the rice in water for 3-4 hours.

Drain the water.

Take a large mixie jar. Grind all the above mentioned ingredients (except baking soda) into a smooth batter.

Transfer the batter to a large vessel. Let it ferment for 8 hrs.

Mix baking soda in 1 tbsp water. Add this to the batter . Stir gently. Add 1/4 cup extra water if the batter is too thick.

Make appams in appa Kadai/ Dosa Tawa.
