Appam Batter-2

Ingredients

  • 2 cups Raw Rice
  • 1 cup Cooked raw rice
  • 1/2 cup Grated Coconut
  • 1 cup Thick Coconut milk
  • 1/2 cup Water
  • 3 tbsp Sugar
  • 2 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Instant dry yeast
  • 1 1/2 tsp Baking Soda

Soak the rice for 3-4 hrs.

Strain the rice through a colander. Discard the water.

In a large mixie jar, grind all the ingredients mentioned above until smooth.

Transfer to a large container. Allow the batter to ferment for 4-5 hrs.

Now give a batter a gentle stir. Mix baking soda in 1 tbsp water. Add to the prepared batter.

Appam batter is ready. Make Appam and serve hot with chicken curry or creamy vegetable stew.
